About

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – Augustine of Hippo

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust

“The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.” – G.K. Chesterton

This is my personal travel blog where I will discuss anything – it may include useful tips, cultural differences, unique experiences, and/or memories worth noting.

“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson, Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes

I’m from NYC and have been to Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, England, Spain, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Bahamas, and the USA.

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” – Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

Studied abroad in Singapore for a few months in 2011 – Studied Japanese in a language school for a year in Japan started from 2013 – Will be teaching in South Korea for a year starting in 2015

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” – Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad/Roughing It
